Big data architect with CDP - senior developer

Job description

As part of his transformation program, our customer is re-engineering his enterprise data platform and machine learning solutions and is moving to the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) technology stack. In this re-engineering and migration, you design and develop solutions including platform architecture, data ingestion, data lakehouse architecture and data science usages.

Data comes both in batch and in streaming, processing and serving in a highly available environment. You will also be working with several frameworks relative to operation, governance and compliance.

Expected Skills

The architect must have experience with the Cloudera distributions (HDP, CDH, CDP, …) and its products (HDFS, Ozone, Hive, Impala, Spark, Oozie, Atlas, Ranger, …). He will advice both on-premise and cloud architectures. He must have a good understanding in infrastructure operations, production environnements (high availability, security, governance, …), and in building data engineering pipelines and in data lakehouse architectures.

You have experience in Java, Scala and/or Python programming languages. Expertise in Linux, Docker and Kubernetes are an advantage.

You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.

You can work autonomously, you can cooperate effectively with different teams onsite and offshore, you are eager to learn new technologies, and you like sharing knowledge and documenting solutions with the right level of detail.

Tasks to be conducted

• Provide recommendations on security and governance
• Apply DevOps methodologies to code management, collaboration, automation and application delivery.
• Be a force of proposal and innovation to recommand our clients with appropriate. technical decisions, security measures enforments and project management guidelines
• Take advantage of the Cloudera CDP platform, its rich set of tools and services and its hybrid data control architecture.
