Python developer for TDP, the open-source data platform
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Python Developer with at least 3 years of professional experience to join the development team of the TDP platform.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in open-source contributions and a passion for building robust data platforms. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various exciting projects, contribute to open-source initiatives, and shape the future of data technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the client user interface and the API server for our data platform using Python and related frameworks.
- Develop tools for orchestrating deployments and various procedures.
- Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of the data platform.
- Contribute to the architecture and development of the platform’s product features, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Participate in the product planning process, and collaborate with product managers and designers to understand and inform product requirements.
- Engage with the open-source community to stay current on the latest trends and technologies, and contribute to open-source initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end components with backend services.
- Write comprehensive documentation and ensure code quality through peer reviews and automated tests.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in the production environment as they arise.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the usability and functionality of the data platform services and overall product experience.

This is a full-time position located in the Paris region with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python development.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web frameworks like FastAPI.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks.
- Solid understanding of deployment orchestration, automation tools, and best practices.
- Experience working with database systems and data pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or interest in contributing to open-source projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, with a knack for problem-solving and innovative thinking.

Remuneration
Compensation is based on your experience and skills. Salaries for this position start at €55,000 per year with 3 years of experience. Food and transportation are covered. We provide a laptop with Linux and the minimal resources of 32GB RAM minimum, 1TB SSD, and 8c/16t CPU.
